LAMA Foundation Updates
Maria Lang Michelle Gillespie
The 2007 LAMA Foundation Scholarship awards went to Maria Lang from the University of Chicago and Michelle Gillespie from the University of Calgary, Canada. The scholarship funded the tuition, airfare, and hotel cost for them to attend the first year of the AALAS 2007 ILAM course in Memphis, TN.

Maria and Michelle were very helpful in assisting and organizing the LAMA Foundation Silent Auction led by Linda Brovarney, the 2007 ILAM Class President. The Silent Auction was conducted during the ILAM graduation banquet which preceded the live auction. The auction generated well over $2,000. Special donations to the LAMA Foundation were received from ILAM Committee member, Dr. Richard Simmonds, and the 2007 Graduating class of ILAM.
