Assets Protection:

• "Recovery of Critical Information From Your Computer System"
J. Patrick Guider, Jr., President, TOPAZ Technologies, Inc.
Computers have revolutionized our lives. They are in our homes, cars and pockets. Computers control
our money, our data and in many cases, our work is almost totally dependent on the
performance of
our automated systems.  As you formulate your disaster plan, it is important to analyze potential problems and identify

operations that are mission critical to keep the organization running.   Your mission is to identify the organizational assets
that must be safeguarded.

• "Protecting the Animal Environment and Collected Environmental Data"
Eric Edstrom, Edstrom Industries, Inc.
With respect to disaster planning, facility concerns are directly related to animal room environments for two reasons: protecting the animals and research and supporting compliance.
There are many parameters to monitor.   The choice of which depends upon the species being housed. But here is a good starting poin.: temperature, humidity, lights, airflow, differential pressure, door locks and blowers on ventilated racks.
